As a QA Test Engineer in the Automotive field working on Infotainment systems, I could positively impact the end-user experience by catching bugs and issues before it reaches the customers. Over the years I’ve noticed that some issues and changes were not being implemented. I realized that my role as a QA Engineer came too late in the development cycle to make an impact on the overall product experience. Suggestions for changes were often ignored because the production deadline was right around the corner.
I decided to learn more about UX/UI design and realized that it is at the top of the design cycle, and the designers are responsible for finding a solution to a problem. This was when I realized that I needed to switch gears. I needed to start making changes at the beginning of the process.
Understanding what people want and designing an intuitive solution is everything that I’m about.
